How it works
Five steps, in the order you will actually do them.
Decide, compare, close, gather, hand off. The first three are the two of you and your phones. The last two are what somebody else needs from you before they can help.
1 · Decide
Answer on your own, one question at a time.
Each card gives the question, why it matters, and what a New York court does if you never agree. You pick one answer or skip for now. The other person cannot see yours until they have answered.

Tier AHow do winter school breaks alternate?
Uma's answer shows the moment yours is in.
Winter break spans two holidays and travel. Naming the pattern now removes a yearly negotiation later.

2 · Compare
See where you already agree.
A matching pair settles itself. A differing pair is drawn as Different, never as an error, with both positions in the same order for both of you. Closest first.

3 · Close
Take the other answer, or hold it for the table.
The pile of questions where one of you would accept the other’s answer has never been asked out loud. Here it is one tap. What neither would accept goes on the agenda for your next sit-down.
Meetings run one item at a time
Uma proposes
Alternate winter break yearly, Vic has even years.

4 · Gather
Documents and figures against a checklist.
W-0 lists what paper exists and what is missing. Every figure you enter names who set it and from what statement. The worksheets compute child support and maintenance from your own numbers.

The arithmetic
Steps
1. Add both incomes, less FICA.
2. Apply the statutory cap to the combined amount.
3. Apply the one-child rate of 17%.
4. Prorate by each share of the combined income.
Vic is the payor on these figures, at $1,822 a month before adjustments.

Evenly states the rules and does the arithmetic.
It is not a lawyer and does not give legal advice. Every document it produces says so on every page, and every rule it states names its statute.
Before any of it
This has to be safe to use.
Evenly assumes joint, voluntary participation. It does not screen for anything, and it cannot tell whether this process is safe for you. If it is not safe, this is the wrong tool, and the number below is a better place to start.
