A resolution needs both names on it.

One person proposes wording. The other confirms it, or declines with a note that says what would work instead. Only then does the item read as settled, for both of you, with both names and the date.

Editing a settled answer reopens it visibly. The activity record keeps the whole sequence, so there is never a question about who changed what.
