Most of it works anywhere.

The questions, the documents and the record are not state-specific, so they work wherever you are. What is state-specific is the arithmetic, and that exists for one state so far.

Everywhere: the questions and the paper

The decision deck, the document checklist, uploads, the comparison of two people’s answers, the shared calendar, the drafts that fill themselves in from what you settle, and every export. None of it turns on where you live. Two people in any state can work through the whole deck and walk out with a written record of what they agreed and what they did not.

A full state adds the arithmetic

Child support and spousal maintenance are formulas set by statute, and the formula is different in every state. In a full state those compute here, each figure showing the steps that produced it and the section of the statute behind the rule, with the date that rule changes. Everywhere else the app asks the questions and leaves the number to whoever is advising you.

New York is the full one

One state done properly rather than fifty done shallowly. A state is not added by colouring in a map: it means reading the statute, writing the arithmetic against it, finding the local disclosure forms and citing all of it, and that is slow. Nothing below is a schedule.
